Are there any contracts I have to sign?
No -- We can start and stop your service over the phone or using our online scheduling
service. There are no contract, minimum service period or advance notice to cancel service.
How do I get started with service?
If you click the "schedule service" tab you can create a private and secure account. You will
be able to enter all your information and then be able to request service from our crew. You
may also call our office at (630) 728-4215
Is there an extra charge for the first time?
There is an initial clean up fee of $38.00 per hour. One hour minimum. If you are switching
from another waste removal service, there is no initial charge.
Can I schedule a one time only service or spring clean up?
Sure! A one time only, or short-term service can be easily arranged. Just create an online
account by clicking the "schedule service" bone and schedule what you need or give us a call.
What types of payment do you accept?
When you create an account in our online scheduler, there is a place to add a visa or
mastercard to your account. Your account is private and secure. Once the card number is
entered, all but the last 4 digits are x'd out. You may also leave a check or cash.
When is payment due?
Payment is due on the 1st of the month for that months service. If you have a credit card on

Can you tell me a bit about the K9 Clean up crew?
Home Sweet Home has partnered with Brockway Lawnscaping to offer you pet waste
removal services. Brockway Lawnscaping is local, reputable, family operated landscaping
company who is a member of the Yorkville Chamber of Commerce and the Hinkley Business

Can I put my service on hold?
Yes - If the dog will be gone from the yard for a couple of weeks, or for some other reason
you want us to skip your yard, we can hold service and you will be given a credit towards
your future service. Please note that if we arrive and your yard has accumulated waste, you
may incur a clean up fee.
Do you work during the winter months?
Yes, we work in the snow, rain, wind and sunshine - all year round.
What if there is extreme weather?
We'll work in most weather, but in the case of extreme weather we may cancel service that
day. We will do our best to make that lost day up the next day. If we are prevented from
cleaning up all week, we will not charge for service.
What about holidays do you not work?
We do not work the following days:
New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and
Christmas Day. When a holiday falls on a regular service day, we will make up the day in
the upcoming week.
Should I unlock my gate?
Yes. The K9 Clean Up Crew is not allowed to climb or jump over fences, please have
your gate unlocked on your service day. You may provide us with the combination to the
lock if that will be convenient for you. Please note that if we arrive at your yard and the gate
is locked, you will still be charged for service that day.
Can we work with your dog in the yard?
In most cases, yes. We get along well with dogs; but if the dog will not let the worker into
the yard or is aggressive or territorial, we ask that you keep the dog out of the area to be
cleaned. Please note that if we arrive and your dog won't let us clean, you will still be
charged for service that day. |
